*****Update 2: Map********
The Event is Next Weekend! April 14th.
If you don’t know where it is, search for Sentul Crescent on googlemaps, the pic below is my best guess.
No registration required, just show up!

********Update 1: Event Details**********
Bad news: This will be an OVERNIGHT event, starting at 11pm. It is not possible to secure the track as it is between a main playground and toilets. For the safety and consideration of the park users, we will only start late at night when it is empty.
Date set: APRIL 14th (Saturday Night) 11pm – 2am? or later depends how long it takes…
Prizes from 1st to 11th: $150, $140, $130, $120, $110, $100, $90, $80, $70, $60, $50. ***COLD HARD CASH***
We have tested our new timing device and it works perfectly, you will be running over thin tape switches to start and stop the time. 1 person at a time, the rate will be about 2 persons every minute.
This race is quite informal, basically we are just all out here to have fun, the prizes are intentionally spread out to 11 places so lots of people can win shit!
We hope everyone who turns up for the event will have fun and also be safe, considerate, responsible, and don’t litter etc!
We urge guys who want to practice to do so at times when it is empty, and ALWAYS have a spotter at the toilet, and at the last bends. It is common to have little kids running out of no where and bicycles zooming past at the end.
Tips:
1) Pushing is very important so practice accelerating over the entire gray concrete section, no more pushing once you are on black asphalt.
2) Tucking obviously is very important to maintain good speed coming into the bends.
3) Predrift or footbraking skills are important right before the first sharp Right turn, which is immediately after the gentle right and slight left.
4) Grippy wheels are important so you can grip the sharp Right and Left turns after said predrift/footbrake section mentioned above.
5) Pick the right lines to maintain speed and grip for the sharp Right and Left http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racing_line
For those of you who have not seen it, the track guide is below.
We are very sorry for the younger guys who are not able to stay out late, there was just no way we could ensure a safe race during normal hours.
This is sort of the reality of being a longboarder, we have to be considerate to other road users, so often times stoke has to be found at odd hours.
We will organize an event that all can attend in the future no worries!
*************OLD POST BELOW***************
We just checked out the new Punggol Waterway and there is a great track to do an individual time trial like the one we did at Sengkang.
Its really mellow, and decently wide with no curbs on the side so its super safe, but it has lots of bends which makes it technical. It will require lots of skill in finding the fastest lines to take.
We will hold the event at night to beat the heat, I can’t find a map of the area but i think the road is called Sentul Crescent, basically you start from the carpark all the way down to the sand pit.
We will hold the event probably in 2 months time. feel free to suggest suitable dates.
