This video features 3 spots near LSP, the first being Lorong Sesuai, followed by Rifle Range Road and finally Jalan Kampong Chantek, where I almost killed myself.

It was a few months ago and this guy Nick who had bought a Switch from us took us there to check it out. At that time I was just into bombing hills going straight down in a tuck.

In the video above, the guys are skating near the end of Jalan Kampong Chantek toward the start, where it goes down and then up a hump. Beyond the hump which isnt in the video, it goes down again pretty steep under a bridge and flats out into a right bend.

Well, when Nick took us there, I was feeling very confident on my Evo so I blindly pushed full speed and then tucked all the way down with enough speed to zoom over the hump and down the steep side and under the bridge.

As I roared down toward the bridge, I was shitting my pants because the hill was much steeper and longer than I had imagined it to be, and I was going faster than I had ever gone before. I did not have the skill to stop at that speed, and I had no pads or gloves to bail on so I could only hang on for dear life.

I looked ahead and there was a speed bump! I hit the thing at full speed and almost wobbled out to death right there! I was still wrestling the wobbles when I realized I was on the wrong lane because I looked up and there was a car coming right at me! Oh shi- I air braked like a fighter jet in reverse and broke left and JUST barely dodged the car!

I watched as the car whizzed past and was about to celebrate my luck by taking off all my clothes and dancing in the streets, but the run wasn’t over yet… there was a right bend ahead and I banked as hard as I could, and my wheels were alternating between slipping out under me and grabbing to almost throwing me forward, but of course I made it because I’m awesome and can iron a shirt like a man.

Anyway, that was probably one of the stupidest things I had ever done, and if there wasn’t a car and speed bump to slow me down I would have probably crashed into the barrier at the right bend.

I must say however that I had the craziest adrenalin rush after that, so it was worth it… but yea please skate safe and don’t be silly like me!
