First of all most of the skaters in singapore are like broke ass bitches so i doubt u’ll make money off the entrance fee. Well good luck wif da u smart ass. LOVE SKATEPARK follows a Communist style rule “working class government ruled by the working class” LOVE SKATEPARk ” skatepark built and run and loved by skaters. simple. if people have a problem with the efforts and hardships put into making the project come alive, just don’t even visit the site. if your coming onto the site to look for trouble your just an idiot. leave skaters alone. if you want a park for BMX or bladers then build it yourself.

Neither do i agree that bmx’rs cause the most damage, skaters have broken the box, cut holes in the umbrella’s and sprayed all the ramps saying bmx’rs suck and on the biggest qp they have sprayed ‘Sk8te or Die’ which not only has made the ramp slippery but has proved that they are a bunch of dumb fucks that couldnt spell if they tried.

I think you are mistaken, Love Skatepark is a private skateboard facility that we are building. We are not talking about the Somerset Skatepark which is public.

I think the idea of an indoor skatepark is great, and if you guys wanna keep it a skaters only park its really up to you.

anon- seems like a false statement at first, but it`s true. i think basketball and soccer have the highest injury rates. i actually did a school project on this with statistics class about 4 years back.
plus, i have been skating since i was 10 and ive scraped my knee and i once got my toe stuck up a bmx:ers ass but besides that, no injuries.
somerset skatepark isn:t insured against damage caused by bikers, go to the manufacturers website and it states the obstacles at somerset arent meant for bikers as they too destructive.
i suggest moderator should close the comments before there is any more escalation.

Anon - a skater is building the place, he named it love skate park not love biker park so im pretty sure its supposed to be for skaters only
and i doubt its because he hates bikers or bladers but skating is just his number one passion and he wants to do something for the skating community. also, its not that big an area to have bikers/bladers in it as well and the designs are modeled after the famous lovepark and they are designed for skaters.
and with this park, sommerset will be more free for bikers etc? so i dont get what this flaming is all about. everyone wins

I’m no skater but there’s nothing wrong with a skater-only park, financed and built BY SKATERS, FOR SKATERS. Love Skatepark is not a public project or a charity project. They are fully within their rights to exclude non-skaters.
If a BMX’r built a BMX-only park, they would be fully within their rights to exclude skaters, and I’m sure Love Skatepark’s founders would not be whinging about being excluded from a BMX park.
My advice? Grow up and learn to read and write properly before embarassing yourself like this. :)

anyway…. when gary approched me with the idea of barry and himself putting together a bit of money to bless singapore with an indoor skatepark i was stocked on the idea. 110% all the way man. the last thing skaters are gonna worry about is the cost, they will be too busy shitting their pants over not having to skate in 99 degree weather every day. Everyone hear agrees that their is nothing worse than skating, biking, blading at 1 degree above the equatore? Im gonna take it as a yes. So over all, this is easily the best idea sinagpore skaters have had in a long ass time. best of wishes to barry and garry and i can garantee your asses will make plenty of profit off this idea, and at the same time you will be making fellow skaters alot more happy about the fact that it wont feel like youv just jumped in a pool after a long day of skating to go home smelling like absolute shit, becasue now yould be shredding in a heat free enviorment. (obvisly not heat free, but you know what i mean)

i hope all the bikers have seen the set up of the park before they start complaining. its a SKATE PLAZA dib shits. however i would concider letting bladers in the park. it would bring more money you know what i mean.
