Casting call for good looking skaters

The Moving Visuals Co., an independent Production House in Singapore, is currently producing a promo for Animax, a cable channel.

They are looking for skateboarders aged 18-22, preferably with Eurasian good looks for one of the roles.

If you or anyone you know might be interested in this, do contact them for auditions asap, they will give you a short script and will need you to show a small stunt with your skateboard.

***I actually got this email some time ago, and the closing date has passed, but they just called and I guess they haven’t yet auditioned enough people so I’ve put this on the website***

    And why would they PREFER Eurasian?It just seems a little funny that most movies with skateboard scenes always feature an “ang moh”. Not to mention this is a local company. *sigh*

    lets not get carried away, this is not about racism, its about a certain look they prefer for the role. you cant get a plain looking person on tv, it just doesnt work.

    They always ask for a specific race/age/look/height. So now they are racist and agist and lookist and heightist??? NO. It’s just how it is, there is probably a reason.

    Nah guys, its true, the market for eurasian models are wider and bigger, because Eurasian can please two markets at once. Most shoots and gigs ask for Eurasians, and well have you ever seen an Eurasian girl? Most of them are smoking hot.
