The LSP Christmas Party - Friday December 18, 11am till late.

Stef is back!
2 things we wanna emphasize - (1) this is a Fun Chill Party and NOT a Serious Business Competition Extravaganza; (2)The prizes will be very small since we are broke so if you are about winning big, you will be disappointed.
We will open at 11am but the various games will start later in the afternoon like 3 or something. You will register for the various games when you sign in.
There will be categories for some events, and they will most likely be:
1) Little Kids = 12 and under, restricted to non-sponsored skaters.
2) Big Kids = 16 to 13, restricted to non-sponsored skaters.
3) Open = All ages, no restrictions.
You may not take part in more than 1 category

The Party will be held on Friday Dec 18, 11am onwards.
There will be an admission fee of $10.
It will probably be very crowded so we cannot guarantee that you will have free space to skate, also try not to bring too much stuff / valuables.
There are a few definite items that will go down:
1) Camel Hump Race… basically the time starts when you drop-in. Pump as fast as you can to the vert wall, turn around and pump all the way back to stop the time.
2) Game of S.K.A.T.E.
3) Miniramp Jam
4) Rail Jam
This Christmas Party is more about having fun than stressing over skills, so there will be prizes to be won for stuff like:
5) do any trick down the rail
6) do any trick off the launch over something cute like a reindeer
7) skate the camel humps switch
8, 9 and more) ….will be for you guys to suggest!
Anyway, keep checking the site for updates on the Christmas Party, and start practicing!
P.S. The skatepark is super empty Mondays-Thursdays.

yo Gary i bought some momentum wheels in june 09 and now it got a flat spot which is getting worse every time i skate. any suggestions on wheels that dont flat spot easily? coz i do alot of reverts. thanks
the most flat spot resistant wheels i sell are the betterskateboarding.com wheels.
other than that you can try the branded wheels such as darkstar, spitfire, bones etc which are available at other skateshops but are more expensive.

10 or less people in total for the whole day so its like 2-3 people at any one time. way better to come on mon-thurs if you can instead of having to skate when its crowded fri-sun.

are they faster then bones ceras?
when you talk about how fast bearings are you need to be able to measure their friction under load (to simulate a skater standing on the board), which means not just spinning the wheels in the air and watching how long before they stop.
A lot of people feel they need “faster” bearings when they see someone going really fast at skateparks without losing much speed. A lot of times this has nothing to do with bearings but rather the skill of the skater being able to pump and “flow” to keep his speed up on the ramps and stuff.
all that said, i do not know if these bearings are faster or slower than bones ceramics without doing a proper test under load, which is too much of a hassle right now. However, i’m confident that these bearings are as “fast” if not “faster” but again you shouldn’t worry too much about “speed”. There are many variables which can contribute to how much friction you experience on a skateboard and truth be told, as long as the bearings are of decent quality they are pretty much the same. They will all wear out and get damaged as you skate them though, and this is where ceramics come in.
The real difference between these FULL ceremics and normal hybrid ceramics such as bones is that they will never rust, and they are more resistant to wear, heat, and the lack of lubrication. Not many skaters bother to maintain their bearings so these will definitely last much longer than their regular bearings.

why dont u have 3 tries to do a trick down the ramp. the big one in the middle of the park or something like that
or maybe something with the cone.
- depending on how crowded it is we may or may not allow you to come in without paying even if you are just sitting down to watch. the default answer will be yes you have to pay if you want to come in to do whatever.
- 11am will be the start of the day, when you register you will be asked to sign up for the events you are interested in or none if you are just here to skate and have fun.
The various events will start later in the afternoon because lots of people can only come after school.
- yes there will be age categories for the various events. We reserve the right to exclude any winners if they are dominating too much. We did the same for the past event where we did not allow the better people from winning more than 1 major prize so that the prize pool would be more spread out.
- thank you for your suggestions, we will add in more events once we get everything planned out better. our basic limitation is TIME. for example it takes Forever to complete the game of S.K.A.T.E.
- LSP is still losing money so don’t expect big prizes, but it will be big fun for sure.

hey guys sorry for the question its kinda dumb but its my first time going to lsp on that day so i was wonder ing about the fee.
when you say its 10$ to get in does that mean we dont have to pay for how long we have to skate or do we still have to pay 5$ an hour?
will it be super crowded at like 12-1pm onwards?

you can join as many games as you want, but for the games that have categories, you can only join one category.
i got a question for u . i owned 2 decks . lets say if i skate with this deck and other deck lying at home collecting dust will it end up the pop not gonna last long anymore further?
