Simple 3D image of the park
Here is a rendered image of the park. This is half the total space, the other half will be flat concrete for movable ramps and obstacles which at this time we cannot afford so if anyone would like to make donations like a nice miniramp from Ramptech, let us know! The park is designed to be plaza style, and we have done this so that it can accomodate more skaters at one time.
Please understand that although we wanted to put a million things inside, we had to be realistic. We are taking a big risk to try and make this work. Construction is booming in Singapore and prices are insane right now so the platinum handrail, jacuzzi, and the 2 performing lions had to go.
The image below represents a good idea of what will eventually be built. We do not expect big changes unless some things are unbuildable.

Description of the features:
1) Love Park Tiers: The first thing that should grab your attention is the hybrid of the Love Park steps and Pier7 style manual pads. They are obviously very poor replicas since we just don’t have the space–but they are designed to be skateable (thanks Captain Obvious) and just different enough to be insanely awesome. Theres also a curved 3-stair on the bottom. We have squeezed as much run-up as possible on top so that we can have our own pathetic little mini Love Fountain Gap. No one is allowed to ollie it before me.
2) Bowl and Waves: Up top we somehow managed to squeeze a little bowl in there that leads to a series of waves. The bowl to waves is probably the feature I look forward most to skating, and i spent a huge amount of time designing and squeezing it to fit, i just hope its as skateable as I imagine it will be. If it turns out to be really crap ill fill the bowl with water, put some fish in there and turn it into a cascading water feature. I’ll put a crocodile in there too. A crocodile that skates. Tight!
3) Banks: behind the Love Park Tiers are the 2 banks, the wide one is inspired by 2 spots: China Banks and “those-white-banks-that-people-like-to-grind-the-top-to-roll-in”. No idea what that spot is called. We were a little concerned squeezing it there and it looks dangerous so ill let Barry test it out first. I’m #1 in your will right bro? Good to know that ill get the whole 2 bucks you have to your name. I shall savour the large fries that i will buy with the money and reminisce of the fun times we had eating bigmacs and stressing over this project.
4) 6-Stair Hubba and Rail: no need to describe this, other than its 6 stairs and not more because we wouldn’t want people to get injured. Also, we dearly miss the old 6-stair at Go Sports 10 years ago, almost as much as we missed our wives and kids when we sailed around the globe in a canoe back in ‘82. That line rhymes so well i should be a poet.
5) Mellow Ramp and Rail: right on top we have a very mellow ramp to a very mellow “A” rail. I put it there cos i saw something similar in the background of Barry’s Frontside-Flip-in-Vancouver picture. You can see the picture im talking about in our gallery, I put it in there just to show the “A” rail. Somehow Barry jumped into the picture and i gave him a round house kick to the head.
I will update more on the progress of the park soon. At this time, construction has not started yet. Please support us by posting in our Forums :)
Hey the park looks sick man! Good job. How much will it cost to skate it? lol
Gd luck with the project!
Holy shit this will be legendary love the set up. I might be able to get a box to help you guys out!!
Yo guys, just one suggestion which i think many of us singaporeans would like. is that may all the corners of stairs and hubba’s and anything that can be grinded on……please be covered with a metal side so the griniging will be smoother and it will last longer instead of normal materials. also that way people don’t overload and mess the place up with wax and soap or oils.
allister , its called a coping dumb. what the hell ? soap or oils?
HOLLY SHIT if the park really comes out to be like this its gonna be like one of the best parks around asia… WOW ppl r gonna wanna visit… i know i will, hope everythin goes ok wif the gouvernment regulations. PEACE!
BUILD IT IN BUKIT TIMAH or NEAR KING ALBERT PARK!!!
why wont it allow bmx riders or bladers ? i disagree that allister towndrow from the forum said that we usually hog the highest ramps and even damage the bad enough corners of the boxes. yes, riders takes up some space at somerset. we have alway try to give way to skateboarder when we know they’re coming. we do not hog the highest ramps… we share it with everyone who uses the park, besides, there is only a few skaters that uses the big ramp to go big or high, most of the others just skate street stuff. And we do not damage the property. our pegs are smooth and round, pedals are flat on the side we use to grind. we have never been selfish in sharing the park with everyone, why built a park with no intention of sharing ? unless in dire of money ? then you need help from bladers and riders when you dont even want to share it with us in the first place. sorry for posting my thoughts here as i’ve not register in ur forum.
I suppose it may seem selfish by not “sharing” but pls understand that skateboarding is the sport that we happen to be involved in. We have nothing against other sports and we would make it an inline only sport if inlining was the sport we were into.
Our focus is on uncompromised dedication to the sport that we love and naturally this means the facility will be 100% dedicated to skateboarding. No amount of responsible sharing with other sports will make the place as fun or as safe as it can be and this is a fact. For example inliners may wax a curb more than skateboarders like, or a little kid on a skateboard who is not looking where he is going may crash into a BMX.
Sorry about the phrasing “unless we are in dire need of funds” if it unintentionally came off as a jab at other sports. The line was put in as a plea to skateboarders to support our dream, and also to hint that the decision of not allowing other sports is firm but not set in stone. But anyway it doesn’t sound nice so i have removed it.
Put simply, providing skateboarders with the best place to skateboard is our only priority, and of course other sports will have to take the back seat.
