miniLSP The End
Saturday, 29 August 2009 will be the final day before we have to deconstruct the skateboarding areas at miniLSP due to legal issues.
We shall end it with a fun day of activities such as games of S.K.A.T.E, Best Tricks, Tic-Tac Races, Best Dressed, Quizes, and other random excuses to give prizes for.
Admission will be $10 for the whole day 1pm to 8pm, be there or be square!
In case you are wondering, the store will remain open for some weeks or months due to rental obligations, but the skateboarding facilities will be gone for good:(

Game Of Skate Is Flatland Or Whole Park??
shit. i learnt bluntslide on ramps there. gonna miss tat ting n always miss lsp..
hey. is the price include shoe?? cause i really need a shoe either size 6 or 6.5. im gonna sacrifice myself for fasting to go there
the activities will probably start at like 3pm or something, sign ups will start when we open at 1pm. if the place is packed and we have filled up all the slots we may start the activities earlier.
the game of skate will be flat ground, and we plan to do best tricks on the miniramps and other obstacles if time permits.
because we cant just terminate our lease in such short notice, we will have to stay for like 2 months more or so. In that time, the plan is to keep the shop there. And have the unstairs area just a free space for people to chill.
the online store will of course remain and we will probably have more time to do deliveries.
as far as new locations for a skatepark, we have a few options but all of them carry huge risks in terms of the rent and initial investment. The fact that miniLSP failed and lost us a lot of money is also very discouraging. We do now realise just how small the skateboarding market is in singapore and how fierce the competition is. We have always strived to keep our prices as low as possible, while being wary not to piss off other skateshops. But the truth is, the way rent is now it is absolutely impossible to survive the way we were doing things. We are gonna need a lot of time/luck to find a do-able location for the future.

lsp has been the best thing for skateboarding in singapore so far and i hope that they will overturn the governments decision to close it down. long live LSP

hey is the shop closing down to? coz ive always needed to buy parts and i found out about LSP yeterday !!!!!! it cant close down where am i gonna buy new parts when they break again?

when your closed and don’t have much on hand will you continue your videos? like your 10 tricks vids? cause ive seen a couple of good, young skaters down at somerse and they probably wouldn’t mind being filmed one of their names was afi and the other kid was white and i cant rmember his name.
