miniLSP ground floor renovations update

Published by Gary at 1:56 pm under News

The ground floor will re-open this TUESDAY 14 JULY.

The entire floor surface is now wood, it may not be quieter to your ears when you skate it but there is some rubberised materials under it that should reduce the vibrations that get transmitted to our neighbors.

OTHER CHANGES:

1)Because we re-did the floor with wood, we were able to get rid of the metal plate just before the launch ramp up the platform. we worked hard to make it a very smooth transition and i am pleased to say that i think we now have the best launch-ramp-up-a-platform-thingy in the world lol.

2)We cut the platform narrower so that the floor space on the left side of the platform is more usable. This means less left to right space on the platform tho, but its worth the sacrifice on the whole.

3)We also took the opportunity to install a method of securing a removable rail to the platform. The rail will need a few days to be fabricated, but we think it will turn out really good.

update: heres a pic of the new wooden floor and narrower platform.
