New Skatepark at Bishan

For those of you who have not heard, there is a new skatepark at Bishan!
There are 3 sections: a park course, a flat ground area and a bowl.  We checked it out on Saturday and were really impressed with the flooring. There is coating over it which makes it much smoother than the bare concrete at Somerset Skatepark.

Park Course - a little narrow and layout could be better… but hey :)

Flatground Area - great for learning tricks and playing S.K.A.T.E.

Directions: The park is located at the junction of Bishan Road and Bradell Road. If you are driving down Bishan Road towards Braddell Road, you will see the park on your left, but you will need to make a left turn way before that and park at Block 105.

There is an SPC petrol station nearby for refreshments.

As of now, constrution is mostly completed, but we heard the lights are not yet being turned on at night, so maybe its only skateable in the day. The official opening is scheduled for June 2009.

How do you get there from Bishan MRT station?

  11. Joshon 27 Mar 2009 at 1:05 am

to alwyn, you just go out the main exit of the station and turn right heading the opposite direction of junction 8 (shopping mart) and then turn left down a long hill just keep going straight and keep going past the intersection past the bus stop and u will see it.

they owners of the park should just open it now(its not open thats ehy there are no lights at night). because people are already skating there now so no point keeping it closed. anyone agrees?

  19. charleson 04 May 2009 at 3:11 pm

they should also create a roll in for the bowl. like cut a small section off

  20. bikeron 11 May 2009 at 4:39 pm
