Raffles place, Anti-skating device
“Yo skaters of Singapore, I lived in Singapore from 98-til 2002 and believe me, shit was different back then! Ill always remenber Raffles place and the first time i lay my eyes on perfect curbs, smooth flooring and a good atmosphere (despite the cops that used to chase us but it was all part of the fun). Skating around raffles was the best thing ever, you could skate forever, some real street skating. I dont think we ever skated the skatepark apart from Bishan and orchard but that aint what i liked or what we liked. We also skated the memorial hall, ideal to learn new grinds or get gnarly on the top step.” RIP Raffles place - William

What do I remember about Raffles from 86 -2006 before the skate stopper .
The best Skate scene ever in Singapore!!!, no such as east west coast stuff those came there to meet up and have lots of fun skating. We cheer and pick up one another even if you are from diferent families and tied together as sk8borders and limitless as brothers.
The era of triflip and K grinds was so intense at Raffles as the best skater that done that with the longest Ks and blunts outwith the rest with style was Zamil WuTang as known.
The first Choc alike crew Tuafiq, Boy Faizzal and Go Krew always with their lasting jokes and smiles during skate session.
The beer booze at Raffles after a hard session which all of us ended not going home for the last train.
The squat seach by the cops during raid.
Taufiq like the Stevie at Lovepark when comes down at Raffles.
The loot at 711 every weekend.
Babe Dreadlock tri flip, hardlip,front flip 180 the Raffles MRT 6 or 8 stairs.

The first batch skaters of Bedok boys - Rizal(RIP) Zubir, Bruce, Ben TP, Mac Daddy Raffles was skate street heaven beside Bedok. They usually miss the train home on weekends.
Raffles session will always starts on Friday evening and ends on Sunday night last train home.
Those days we can’t efford mobile or pagers but we knew, Raffles is the place to meet on Friday.
The friday routine is to meet up at Spitfire, go to Memorials and jam at Raffles when the sun goes down.
You guys inspire me whenever we meet up at Raffles,sorry if miss out any names but you know who you are.
For the last my 25 years of sk8boarding i will never forget the skatescene in Raffles you all guys rocks and thats keep me skating till now.
