Seoul, Korea : Spot Check at CULT
Information:
CULT skatepark was formerly a public park for you to walk your Jindo or other pets. Skateboarders soon found out about the marble ledges and smooth ground and started skateboarding here. A few years later the city decided to hand over the whole park to the skateboard community and added rails, metal coping over the marble ledges, grind boxes, and a set of ramps to seal the deal. The result is a perfect street plaza style skatepark that you can skate from morning to night with no hassle from the public or police. Last month a contest was held here with a top prize of 1,000,000 Won. More pics can be found in our gallery.

Korea looks really good for skatin, how are the skaters over there?
I know Love skatepark hasn’t been approved yet but can I ask what’s takin it sooo long? I mean what’s the reason for the holdup? Don’t you just submit a form askin for permission? that’s all right?
wcRepz!!
its more complicated than that but the holdup is mainly because we want to build it on land that we rent from someone who is renting it from someone else who rents it from HDB the land owner.
At the contest the Korean skaters were skating at almost the same level as other Asian athletes, besides Japan. I think Japan has some amazing skaters. Go youtube CHATTY if you want to see them in action. Both Korean and Japanese skaters have lots of POP!
I used to skate here almost everyday when i was 16 and 17. the skaters are amazing, and some of the most friendliest guys to kick it with. everybody’s down to skate, bottom line.
i taught gunjo most of his tricks back in uijongbu, what kid!?!?!
heyy, im stationed at K-16 but im dyin to start skating again, where is this park? or is there any parks over here i can skate? lemme know plz
