Tommy Carroll, the blind skateboarder

Published by Barry at 5:29 pm under News

Wow, this kid is amazing!

Tommy is blind, he cannot see yet he runs for his school’s cross country team and is a regular at local skate parks.

He was born with bilateral retinoblastoma, and the cancer took both his vision and his eyes by the age of two.

I can’t imagine trying to skateboard with no eyesight. This kid has real courage and dedication to the sport!

Long after the skate park lights go off I’m sure Tommy is still shredding away.

I can’t even see when the lights at the park go out, that’s when I go home and play with my tech deck.
